The Beast of the East will happen Sept 10th rain or shine.

This is a 10K course which will encompass different types of terrain, including asphalt, dirt, hills, water hazards, and of course, MUD!

TIPS:
Wear old clothes and sneakers; you will get dirty.
Bring a trash bag, dry clothes and a towel.
There will be a place to hose off and a changing area.
Leave jewelry and other valuables at home.
We are not responsible for your belongings.
Costumes are encouraged.

SAFETY:
Drink plenty of water before, during and after the race
Do not dive into the mud pits!  They are for crawling only.
There will be emergency medical staff at the event.  If you are feeling injured, sick, or not yourself, please utilize their service.
Headphones are not allowed to be worn during the run.
This is a fun run: please help friends and fellow participants safely over any obstacles.

AWARDS:
Awards will be given to the best costumes!

COSTUMES:
We encourage costumes!  The funnier, the better.  While we aren’t in the business of censorship, please do consider there will be kids at the event.  That being said, we look forward to the continued creativity of the runner’s costumes.  They get better and better every year!

PLEASE NOTE:
We will be running in "heats" of 500, beginning with the fastest runners first (this is to eliminate any back-up at the obstacles). If you register as a team, this will be determined by the running time of the slowest team member.

The following is included in your registration (each person will receive): an event Tech Shirt & a military challenge coin unique to the 2011 JB MDL Mud Run

In addition, race snacks (fruit, bagels, etc...) and beverages for the event participants will provided. There will also be entertainment and other vendors selling addition food  and refreshments for spectators and participants.
